After all three of the oil nozzles are disabled, there is no longer any oil surrounding the barrel for the ignition mechanism to burn, so the hazard can't deal damage. The ignition mechanism can be disabled with another DC 18 crafting or DC 18 thievery check. Each attempt to disable the hazard requires 2 actions.
A menacing clockwork contraption emerges from this impressively large and heavy-duty oaken barrel. A spring-loaded launcher mechanism catapults explosive-laden rats, and nozzles spray flammable oil before igniting it.
