Effect The sounds of screams from the damned intensify as the arch begins to glow with planar energy. Each living creature within 60 feet of the arch must attempt a DC 48 will saving throw. The haunt then rolls initiative.


Critical Success The creature is unaffected.

Success The creature is Frightened 2.

Failure The creature is Frightened 3 and can't reduce its frightened condition below 1 for the haunt's duration.

Disable DC 50 occultism (master) or DC 50 religion (master) to quell the souls' suffering; these checks must be attempted while adjacent to the arch, and four total successes are required to disable the haunt
