The Press trait means you can only use the action if you've already attacked this turn. It prevents using it as your first action. Common Press actions include certain Strike follow-ups and combat maneuvers.
Yes. Manipulate actions trigger Attack of Opportunity from creatures that have that reaction. This includes drawing items, drinking potions, casting many spells, and using items in combat.
If the target is higher level than the effect, they treat their save result as one step better (failure becomes success, etc.). This prevents save-or-die effects from trivializing boss fights.
Mental effects target the mind and don't work on mindless creatures. Emotion effects are a subset that also don't work on creatures immune to emotion. An effect can be Mental without being Emotion.
