Frequently Asked Questions

How many spells are included?

Over 1,100 spells from all published PF2e sources including Player Core, Player Core 2, Secrets of Magic, Rage of Elements, and adventure paths.

Can I filter by tradition?

Yes. Filter by all four PF2e traditions — Arcane, Divine, Occult, and Primal — to see only spells available to your character's class and tradition.

Does it include remaster spells?

Yes. All remaster spells from Player Core and Player Core 2 are included, along with legacy spells from pre-remaster sources.

Can I search spell descriptions?

Yes. The search matches against both spell names and descriptions, so you can find spells by specific damage types, conditions, or effects.

What spells can a cleric cast in PF2e?

Clerics cast divine tradition spells. Filter by the Divine tradition in the spell browser to see all available cleric spells. Clerics also get deity-specific focus spells.

How do heightened spells work in PF2e?

Heightening a spell means casting it using a higher-rank slot for increased effects. Some spells heighten at every rank (+1), others at specific ranks (+2, +4). The browser shows heightening entries for each spell that supports it.

What is the difference between arcane and occult spells?

Arcane spells focus on elemental damage, utility, and summoning. Occult spells emphasize mental effects, illusions, and emotion manipulation. Use the tradition filter to compare them side by side.

What are focus spells in PF2e?

Focus spells are granted by class features, feats, or domains. They use focus points instead of spell slots and can be refocused during exploration. The browser includes focus spells alongside regular spells.

What changed with spells in the PF2e remaster?

The remaster renamed many spells (e.g., Magic Missile became Force Barrage), changed spell levels to ranks, reorganized tradition lists, and updated mechanics. The browser includes both remaster and legacy versions so you can find spells under either name.
